St. Catherine's Monastery
Once we have descended from the mountain, we continue our journey with a visit to the awe-inspiring Monastery of Saint Catherine. This ancient Christian monastery was constructed in the 5th century by the Roman Emperor Justinian, at the very spot where Moses is said to have witnessed the burning bush. Over the centuries, it has been dedicated to Saint Catherine - a revered martyr who met her untimely end in Alexandria.
