Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, a wildlife haven known for its diverse landscapes and iconic ancient baobab trees, the largest in Africa. The park features nine vegetation zones, from open plains to riverine forests, providing ideal habitats for a wide variety of animals. The Tarangire River attracts abundant wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, and a rich array of colourful birds. Tarangire is especially famous for having the largest elephant population in Tanzania, offering unique opportunities to observe elephant families interacting in their natural environment.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic riverside observatory, where you might witness herbivores drinking and, occasionally, predators on the hunt. Continue your afternoon game drive, exploring the park’s hidden corners, and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the African wilderness. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
