HOW SHOULD I USE THE CANVAS BRIEFCASE THAT WILL BE GIVEN TO ME? The night before starting your hike we will give you a canvas briefcase so you can pack the clothes you will wear during the days of the excursion, as well as your sleeping bag and other items that you see as convenient. The maximum weight allowed is 7 kg / 15.4 lb. We will carry your canvas briefcase, in addition to everything necessary for the camps, on our pack animals. It is important to note that you will not have access to the items in your duffle bag until the end of each day. This is because our pack animals will always advance ahead of the group. To carry other belongings such as waterproof jackets, camera, sunscreen, medication, etc., you can use a comfortable backpack with a capacity between 30 and 50 liters.

The hike begins in a large green valley. You will see hundreds of alpacas, local farmers and the beautiful Ausangate Mountain looming in the distance; This is just a preview of what's to come on your journey. As you continue moving along the trail, you will begin to conquer the first step of the hike: Puccacocha Pass. At about 16,000 feet, the pass sits just above Lake Puccacocha, and the massive Ausangate Mountain is directly in front of you, while a beautiful active glacier crashes into the lake below. After a successful climb, we will stop around noon to have lunch and recharge the body for the rest of the hike.

Our destination for the night is Anata, where we will enjoy a beautiful evening surrounded by an amazing landscape in the stillness of the Andes. When the sun sets, we set up the dining tent with chairs for your group to relax and enjoy conversation while dinner is prepared. Tonight you can contemplate an unforgettable night sky full of constellations, shooting stars and wrap yourself up with tea.
