While everyone is still out looking for where to see the fires, you are already in the water with a glass in your hand. It leaves at 20:30 from the port of Alghero, just in time to catch the sunset from the sea — which is a different matter from there. A few minutes and we are anchored in the right place — near the island of La Maddalenetta or under the historic walls of Alghero — with frontal views of the fireworks. No crowds, no pick-up phones blocking your view. Just you, the sea and the show. In the middle? Night bath if you like, hot shower on board when you go up, local appetizers and local wine.
