Itinerary
1
Lake Kawaguchi Ohashi Bridge
SEE: The spectacular classic reflection (weather permitting, often called "Reverse Fuji") with the mountain rising directly across the water. You will see seasonal flowers and the famous red bus route.
DO: Take unforgettable photos, walk along the manicured northern shore (Oishi Park), and visit the Natural Living Center shop for local gifts.
1 hour
2
Oshino Hakkai
SEE: A traditional, thatched-roof village setting with stunning views of Fuji. The main attraction is the eight crystal-clear ponds fed by Mt. Fuji's melted snow, with waters so clear you can see to the bottom.
DO: Stroll the stone paths, try a sample of the famously pure spring water, and shop at local stalls for regional snacks like kusa mochi (mugwort rice cake).
1 hour
3
Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine
SEE: A solemn, historic atmosphere. You'll pass under one of the largest wooden torii gates in Japan and walk the shaded, moss-covered path lined with ancient cedar trees, including the revered "Fuji Taro" cedar.
DO: Feel the spiritual energy of this shrine, which marks the traditional starting point of the Yoshida climbing trail to the summit of Mt. Fuji.
1 hour
4
Gotemba Premium Outlets
SEE: Japan's most popular outlet mall, featuring around 300 stores from international luxury brands (Gucci, Prada) to sportswear (Nike, Adidas), all set against a magnificent backdrop of Mt. Fuji. DO: Enjoy a short burst of tax-free and discounted luxury shopping, or grab dinner/snacks before the return trip.
