With this one day pass, you will be able to experience the culture and customs of the Edo period at the Noboribetsu Date Jidaimura, also known as Noboribetsu Date Historic Village. Here, you'll slip back in time to enjoy traditional games, activities, theater, street performances, etc. Ancient Japan is ubiquitous as you mingle with the townspeople, Ninja and Oiran courtesans so symbolic of the Edo Period.
You'll be able to see the homes of the ninjas and samurai as well as store frequented by the villagers. You'll also be able to see some performances by the villagers, such as ninja, courtesan, and the townspeople. There is also a museum where you can learn a bit more in depth about Japanese history and the significance of this period.
If you get hungry there are many restaurants in the park where you can enjoy great meals (at your own cost) such as Japanese noodles like ramen, udon and soba. For dessert, you can check out some of the sweet shops or tea shops in the area as they also have delectable sweets.
