TOUR ITINERARY Marangu Gate (1,800m/5,905ft) to Mandara Hut (2,743m/9,000ft) Elevation Gain: 915 meters, 3,000 feet
You will leave Moshi early in the morning to depart for Marangu Gate. The drive will take approximately 1 hour. After completing gate registration, you will begin your Kilimanjaro Day Hike. Walking along a narrow trail through the rainforest of Kilimanjaro up to Mandara Hut you will meet mountain climbers descending from the top. At Mandara Hut you will have your lunch and the possibility to take a short walk to the Maundi Crater.
