Men wear formal kamishimo robes or samurai armor, while women dress in sacred miko attire, reflecting on the uniquely Japanese belief that pioneering samurai are enshrined as deities. Guests also receive special access to the main sanctuary, normally closed to the public, where the head priest explains the teachings of Shinto—the foundation of Japanese values.

Photos allowed. 12:30 Lunch featuring local ingredients at Hiataste. 13:30 Forest pioneering experience in the mountains of Tobetsu. 17:00 Check in at the accommodation, followed by dinner at Tanishi Kaikan.
