Mehrangarh Fort
Mehrangarh fort is one of the most impressive, well-maintained forts in India. aslo awarded by UNESCO ( ASIA PACIFIC HERITAGE AWARD -2002 and 2005 ) and TIME MAGAZINE WRITE ABOUT MEHRANGARH FORT - THE BEST OF ASIA . AND GOT THE NAME IN THE WALL STREET JOURNAL .
It looms over the "Blue City" from its lofty position atop a rocky hill where it was built by the ruling dynasty of Rathore Rajputs.
The Museum consists of seven Period Rooms i.e Sheesh Mahal,
Phool Mahal,
Takhat Vilas,
Sardar Vilas,
Jhanki Mahal,
Dipak Mahal,
Moti Mahal and six Galleries namely, Howdah Gallery, Palanquin Gallery, Daulat Khana, Painting Gallery, Textile Gallery and Arms Gallery.
