The museum is housed in an old and imposing barn of German colonial architecture, it exhibits many objects from the different aspects of the daily life of these settlers, such as photographs, musical instruments and machines, magnificent clocks, innumerable technological objects, agricultural machinery and generators. energy based on animal traction, among many other things. All these objects are the collection of its founder Antonio Felmer Niklitschek, and today belong to the family that is in charge of its preservation.

We take our vehicle to go in the direction of Frutillar, a small town 30 km away. A few minutes later we cross the town of Llanquihue, another of the many towns founded by German settlers. From there we will begin to border the second largest lake in Chile and, weather permitting, we will have the most beautiful views of the Osorno, Puntiagudo and Cerro Tronador volcanoes. We know that the cities of Chile are not the attraction of the country, but there are exceptions to the rule: the small town of Frutillar is a unique cultural experience of the country and of Patagonia. Chosen in 2017 by UNESCO as the Creative City of Music, Frutillar is a place that enchants with its landscapes and its great artistic vocation. Although it is a quiet town, it is in Frutillar where one of the highest quality artistic and educational projects in Chile has been established: the Teatro del Lago is a first class performance hall.
