The journey to the Knik Glacier area is part of the experience. Guests will travel in our heavily modified Jeep through rugged backcountry terrain. Depending on trail and weather conditions, the route may include steep uphill and downhill sections, rock gardens, muddy trails, uneven ground, and water crossings. Guests should expect a rough, bumpy, and exciting off-road ride.

The Knik River Valley and surrounding mountain terrain provide habitat for a variety of Alaska wildlife. During the tour, guests may have the opportunity to see animals such as bears, mountain goats, moose, and different types of birds. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed and depend on the season, time of day, weather, trail conditions, and natural animal movement. Guests should observe wildlife from a safe distance and follow guide instructions at all times.
