Haus der Jungfrau Maria
Das Haus der Jungfrau Maria liegt im Aladağ-Gebirge, nur 8 Kilometer von Ephesus entfernt, und ist ein bedeutender Wallfahrtsort. Der Überlieferung nach kam Maria 37 n. Chr. mit dem Heiligen Johannes nach Ephesus und lebte dort bis zu ihrem Tod 48 n. Chr. Nach der Entdeckung des Hauses wurde der Ort 1892 vom Erzbischof von Kusadasi als Wallfahrtsort anerkannt. Am 26. Juli 1967 besuchte Papst Paul VI. diesen heiligen Ort und betete dort, was seine Bedeutung für Besucher aus aller Welt unterstrich.

Claros (Klaros) was an ancient Greek sanctuary near İzmir, dedicated to Apollo. Famous for its oracle, it was one of the most important prophecy centers of the ancient world—comparable to Delphi. Visitors came from across the Mediterranean to seek guidance from Apollo through sacred rituals performed by priests in an underground chamber. Today, Claros offers a peaceful archaeological site featuring a temple, sacred spring, and impressive columns.
