The first site of the tour is Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (it is open in the morning from 8:00am - 11:30am & close on Monday, Friday weeky). It is the final resting place of Ho Chi Minh, the most iconic and popular leader of Vietnam, known to his people as ‘Uncle Ho’. His body is preserved here in a glass case at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in central Hanoi (albeit against his wishes). For visitors, a trip to Uncle Ho’s final resting place can be an extraordinary experience as it is not just an average attraction; it’s a part of a unique history (no shorts, no miniskirts are allowd when entering the mausoleum).

Der Legende nach wurde die Einsäulenpagode nach einem Traum des vaterlosen Kaisers erbaut, in dem ihm das erleuchtete Wesen Avalokiteshvara einen kleinen Sohn schenkte, der auf einer Lotosblume ruhte. Kaiser Ly Thai Tong gab den Auftrag, die Pagode in Anlehnung an diese Lotosblume zu erschaffen, die auch das buddhistische Symbol der Erleuchtung ist. Der Kaiser blieb dem Bodhisattva und später Quan Am, der Göttin der Barmherzigkeit, nach der Geburt seines Sohnes dankbar. Im Inneren des Tempels nimmt eine reich vergoldete Statue von Quan Am im Mittelpunkt des Hauptaltars Platz ein. Heute ist der Betonpfeiler, der die kleine Holzpagode stützt, ein Ersatz für die ursprüngliche, die von den abziehenden Franzosen gesprengt wurde. Es ist unklar, wie viel von dem hölzernen Tempel noch zum Original gehört.

Der Literaturtempel gilt als eine der malerischsten Touristenattraktionen Hanois. Das Gebäude wurde 1070 ursprünglich als Universität zu Ehren von Konfuzius, Gelehrten und Weisen erbaut und ist heute ein hervorragendes Beispiel traditioneller vietnamesischer Architektur. Diese antike Stätte bietet einen Literatursee, den Brunnen der himmlischen Klarheit, Schildkrötenstelen, Pavillons, Höfe und Gänge, die einst von Königen genutzt wurden. Bei einem Besuch des Literaturtempels entdecken Sie historische Gebäude aus den Ly- und Tran-Dynastien an einem ehrwürdigen Ort, an dem Tausende von Doktoren ihren Abschluss machten. Heute ist er ein Denkmal für Bildung und Literatur. Ursprünglich nahm die Universität nur Aristokraten, die Elite und Mitglieder der Königsfamilie als Studenten auf, bevor sie schließlich ihre Türen für kluge Köpfe des „einfachen Volkes“ öffnete. Die Namen der erfolgreichen Absolventen wurden in eine Steinstele eingraviert, die sich über den Steinschildkröten befindet.

1882, nach der Eroberung Hanois durch die französische Armee, wurde die Brücke 1899 erbaut und 1902 fertiggestellt. Als Symbol der Zähigkeit und Widerstandsfähigkeit der Hanoier wurde die Long-Bien-Brücke während des Amerikanischen Krieges mehrfach bombardiert und jedes Mal von den Vietnamesen schnell wieder instand gesetzt. Die von Zügen, Mopeds und Fußgängern genutzte Brücke wird derzeit restauriert, um ihr ursprüngliches Aussehen wiederherzustellen. Nachts ist sie bunt beleuchtet.

Hanoi Train Street is one of the Best Things To Do to learn and explore Hanoi local life. Rather than being a normal road with car or motorbike traffic, it has actual real railway lines running through it. Homes and businesses literally open out onto the railway lines. For the most part, the locals who live and move through there go about their day as with any other Hanoi street. Motorbikes zoom up and down the side of the railway lines. Local ladies cook delicious smelling foods, crouched over their seasoned cooking pots and surrounded by bundles of herbs and other fresh ingredients. Kids run around, crossing the tracks to each other’s houses.

The Hanoi Opera House was erected by the French colonial administration between 1901 and 1911 (you are allowed to visit the outside of the building only). It is one of three opera houses that the French built during their time in Indochina, the others are Haiphong Opera House and Municipal Theatre in Ho Chi Minh city. The house was modeled on the Palais Garnier, the older of Paris's two opera houses, and is considered to be one of the architectural landmarks of Hanoi. The main architectural style of the Opera House is Neoclassicism. After the departure of the French the opera house became the scene for several political events. as well as the scene of street fighting during the fight for Hanoi.

Then the vehicle pass through Hoan Kiem Lake (lake of the Restored Sword), another name "Turtle lake". The name “Hoan Kiem” comes from the legend of King Le Loi returning the magical sword to the Golden Turtle after defeating the Ming invaders. The lake is famous for its peaceful scenery, green surroundings, and iconic structures such as Turtle Tower, The Huc Bridge...
