Visit the sixth-century Jvari Monastery, one of Georgia’s most important religious monuments. Located on a hill above Mtskheta, the monastery offers a spectacular panoramic view of the ancient city and the meeting point of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Guests will learn about the introduction of Christianity to Georgia and the historical importance of this UNESCO-listed site.

Enjoy a guided walk through the historic centre of Mtskheta, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Georgia. Walk along the pedestrian streets, see traditional Georgian architecture, browse local souvenir stalls, and learn about the city’s role as the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Iberia.

Arrive in Gori, one of the main cities of central Georgia. The guide will provide a short introduction to the city’s history and explain its connection to Joseph Stalin, who was born here in 1878. Guests will have time to walk around the museum area before deciding whether to enter the Stalin Museum.

Explore Uplistsikhe, one of the oldest rock-hewn settlements in Georgia. The ancient town was carved directly into the cliffs and once served as an important religious, commercial, and political centre. Walk through rock-cut streets, tunnels, chambers, temples, ceremonial halls, wine cellars, and ancient living areas. The site also offers impressive views over the Mtkvari River valley. The terrain includes uneven stone surfaces, slopes, and stairs, so comfortable footwear is recommended.

After visiting Uplistsikhe, begin the return journey to Tbilisi. A short comfort stop may be arranged depending on the needs of the group.
