Depart early from Durban at 06:00 and travel inland through the scenic Natal Midlands, known for its rolling hills, farmlands, and picturesque countryside.
Arrive in Underberg, where you transfer to a 4x4 vehicle for the thrilling ascent up the iconic Sani Pass. This dramatic mountain pass offers breathtaking views as you navigate steep switchbacks into the highlands of Lesotho.
At the top, visit a traditional Sotho Village to experience local culture and lifestyle. Continue to the famous Sani Mountain Lodge, home to the “Highest Pub in Africa,” where you can enjoy a lunch break (own cost) while taking in panoramic mountain views.
In the late afternoon, descend back to Underberg and rejoin your vehicle for the return journey to Durban, arriving at approximately 18:00.
