We start the day with a visit to the only Salvadoran World Heritage Site by
UNESCO. Buried by volcanic ash in the 7th century, this ancient Mayan village remained
incredibly preserved, providing an authentic portrait of everyday pre-Hispanic life.

We will explore this majestic ceremonial site that was capital
regional level between the sixth and ninth centuries AD. We will tour its acropolis, squares, pyramid structures and the site museum, as we discover the political-religious power of Mayan elites in the Zapotitán Valley

Nationalpark El Boqueron
We moved to the top of the San Salvador volcano to enter El Boquerón National Park. Located more than 1,800 meters above sea level, it offers spectacular views of the main crater and its unique “Boqueroncito”. We will enjoy nature trails surrounded by native flora, cool climate and breathtaking scenery. A real contrast to the archaeological richness of the morning.
