Nationalpark La-Maddalena-Archipel
In the stretch of sea between Sardinia and Corsica known as the Strait of Bonifacio lies a sparkling constellation of islands and islets surrounded by turquoise waters, one of the world’s most breathtaking seascapes. Recognized for its exceptional natural value, this area is under special protection as part of the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park. The park encompasses 180 kilometers of coastline, featuring more than 60 islands, both large and small, sculpted from granite and schist by wind and currents over millennia. Among the most iconic are Budelli, Caprera, Razzoli, Santa Maria, Santo Stefano, and Spargi. Hidden coves and secret inlets create countless natural harbors, while the crystalline waters shimmer in unique shades of blue and green. Towering rock formations stand like natural monuments, and the seabeds are a diver’s paradise.
