Lively, lively and eventful, Stroget Street is Copenhagen’s largest shopping street!

Here, on your left, is the oldest square in town. It was once the Point of Sale, where pork, poultry and eggs were sold.

This is the oldest church in the city, built in the 13th century! Formerly part of the former Catholic monastery, this church was devastated by the fire of 1728, which destroyed several buildings in the Danish capital.

It is one of the central squares of Copenhagen. Built after the fire of 1795, it was used as a firebreak to prevent further fires.

You are currently in the Kobmagergade. This shopping street reveals many beautiful buildings, such as the one on this level, on your right, at number 42.

Here you are in the beautiful square of Grabrodretorv, characterized by its buildings with bright colors. It takes its name in 1841, but it is much older than that.

This cathedral, whose façade evokes the architecture of ancient temples, is the most important church in Copenhagen.

Nicknamed the Round Tower, this tower is a special feature of the nearby building to which it is attached, which is called the Work of the Trinity, built to house a church, a university library and an astronomical observatory, which is still on top of the tower.

Here you are again in a beautiful square of the city! Called Kultorvet, which means “the Coal Point of Sale”, after the trade that took place there, it was designed after the fire of 1728.

On your left is the Copenhagen Botanical Garden. Don’t hesitate to enter and visit if it is open upon arrival!

This magnificent castle served as a royal residence between 1633 and 1710. King Christian IV, King of Denmark and Norway, decided to build it: he wanted to build a summer house at Check-out.

Now you are in the Royal Garden, which surrounds the imposing Rosenborg Castle.

You arrive here in the Nyboder district, a very specific place as you have already noticed. On either side of this street stand houses of an ochre color that does not go unnoticed.

The building you have in front of you is Nyboders Mindestuer, and it is undoubtedly a must-see in the neighborhood.

Here you are, in front of what is known as the “marble church”: I assure you, it was not entirely built in marble, although its original designer intended it when it was first built in 1749!

Copenhagen’s iconic square, Amalienborg consists of four imposing and elegant buildings that are none other than the residence of the Danish royal family.

This small park located a stone’s throw from Amalienborg Castle is a beautiful walk along the Copenhagen harbor.

Opposite Tivoli Gardens, one of the oldest amusement parks in the world, the City Inn was built in 1905 to the designs of Martin Nyrop, Danish architect.
