We stop at Breistein fergekai, an active ferry quay that reflects how Norway’s dramatic landscape has shaped everyday transport. We cross the Osterfjord by local ferry from Breistein to Valestrand. This short ferry ride offers beautiful views of the fjord and surrounding hills and is a natural part of everyday transport in the region. On our way back to Bergen, we cross the Osterøy Bridge, one of Norway’s longest suspension bridges. The bridge connects Osterøy Island with the mainland and spans the Osterfjord high above the water.
