You'll depart for the Amboseli National Park via the Nairobi-Mombasa Road. The morning drive is via a typical African savannah country dotted with local homesteads and colorful Maasai herdsmen grazing their cattle. You'll arrive in time for lunch and later venture into the park for the scheduled afternoon game-viewing drive. You will spot the many herds of elephants up close in the park —it's no wonder why the park is the best place in Africa to spot such herds. The park is also home to many other species, such as the Cape buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, spotted hyena, Maasai giraffe, zebra, and blue wildebeest, among other animals. The birdlife is also abundant, with both large and small species. Weather permitting, Amboseli National Park offers a vista of the scenic snow-capped Mt.
