Some of the animals in our care have been born in other wildlife management programs for scientific and educational purposes; others are rescued and placed in our management by the authorities of Costa Rica. These animals are not fit for life in the natural environment and are cared for by a large team of qualified and dedicated professionals. Diamante is known for its world-class habitat designs that address the needs of each species. The unique design of the habitats allows guests to view and learn about key aspects of biology, ecology and natural history of the animals.

Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center offers visitors beautiful natural landscape, with tropical gardens. During the visit you will see and learn about a number of animal species that have been rescued and for diverse reasons cannot be released for reintegration into their habitat. This is an amazing educational experience for anyone in love with nature! At an additional cost, you can enjoy a guided tour (by reservation only), rental carts for children, souvenir and coffee shop, ice cream parlor, and a delicious restaurant with a variety of dishes. Our 1.5km Trail offers one of the best opportunities to observe sloths in their natural habitat. In this place you will find four pools that vary in temperature from 99° Fahrenheit to 105° (37° to 41° C). These warm waters have an invigorating and calming effect. One of the pools has an artificial waterfall. All pools are surrounded by the bright colors and vegetation of the Arenal rainforest. Eco Termales is a family owned and operated natural hot spring. They allow a limited number of guests each day so visitors can get the most out of their visit to the springs. It's easy to spend the day here: Eco Termales offers poolside snacks and delicious meals. Eco Termales prepares fresh and tasty Creole cuisine for its guests. Meals here are served buffet style. You can choose between two hot entrees and then help yourself to ingredients for salads, fruit, the soup of the day and a selection of Costa Rican desserts.
