Coimbra, a city of students, a city where we learn to say saudade, a city full of charms and nooks where sections of the old wall will guide us in an adventure full of history, memories and wisdom. We will start this adventure along the banks of the river Mondego, where we will cross a pedestrian colored bridge, the Pedro and Ines Bridge, towards the Tollgate. On this bridge, you still have the privilege of contemplating a great panoramic view to the magnificent city of Coimbra and surrounding mountains. Along this route, the vast historical, cultural and natural heritage of this city awakens, in each one of us, the desire to set out on an adventure. An adventure to discover the history and mysteries hidden along the streets and staircases, from the downtown area to the high zone of the city, an adventure to get to know the old walled city and the oldest University of Europe, the University of Coimbra.

After picking up the participants in Coimbra, we went to the village of Mealhada to visit one of the oldest wineries in the region. We walk through the tunnels where thousands of bottles age while we hear in detail about the sparkling wine production process. We have the opportunity to taste a red table wine, a white wine and a sparkling wine. After the visit, we will continue on a panoramic tour where we will pass through several wine estates, where we will stop at a viewpoint of the "Maria Gomes" swing to be able to observe some vineyards. In the village of Cúria, in the old railway station from the 1940s, is the headquarters of the Rota da Bairrada, a place where all the wine producers in the region are represented, giving us the privilege of getting to know the different wine products in a single place. After the wine tasting and visit, we return to the starting point in Coimbra.

The event will take place in a traditional shop, opened in 1912, located in the historic area of Coimbra where wine, gastronomy and culture are located.

After pick up at the hotel in Coimbra, we will go to Figueira da Foz. We will visit Praia da Claridade, one of the favorite beaches of the Portuguese. After taking a walk on its white sand and taking a few pictures, we will go to the salt pans. We will enter the Núcleo Museológico do Sal to know everything about salt and see first hand how it is produced. Before returning to Coimbra, we will cross the fields of Baixo Mondego, where you will be surprised by the extensive corn and rice plantations. Following these roads, we will arrive at the Castle of Montemor for a short visit. Located in a strategic place on a hill, its walls have witnessed numerous struggles between Muslims and Christians. Before finishing, we will indulge your stomach with the tasting of the typical Tentúgal pastry, one of the 7 wonders of Portuguese gastronomy.
