a famous, incredibly well-preserved medieval street renowned for its narrow, timber-framed buildings with jettied upper floors that nearly touch across the cobbles. Formerly a street of butchers' shops ("flesh shambles"), it is now a top tourist attraction known for its Harry Potter-like atmosphere, often cited as inspiration for Diagon Alley but it's so much more than that.

Lots of pubs in Britain have ghosts but not many have as many documented ghosts as the Golden Fleece. Who knows who we might bump into!

There has been a Blue Boar since Medieval times and despite connections with royalty, it is perhaps most famous for it being where the body of legendary Highwayman Dick Turpin was on display following his execution. We might even see his coffin!

Standing right next to the famous River Ouse, the old Viking highway. This wonderful old pub holds the distinction of being the most flooded pub in York. Usually around 4 times a year.
