The house is the meeting of neocolonial architecture with the Tijuca Forest, and its collection, formed over 60 years, is an important collection of modernism and informal abstractionism in Brazil. The garden is a fundamental element of the house. It is one of the first projects made by the famous landscaper Burle Marx for a private property, featuring tropical plants.
