We explore Ålesund in a small, personal group, discovering how this picturesque coastal town reveals a surprising amount about Norway.
The tour begins at the Fisherman Boy statue. Walking along the waterfront, we cover topics such as the clipfish trade, the significance of the sea, extensive undersea tunnels, and Norway’s oil and gas wealth.
After a short break for coffee or ice cream, we turn our attention to Art Nouveau architecture and the Great Fire of 1904, which fundamentally transformed the city center.
Behind the facades lie the stories of the people who shaped the city: fishermen and merchants, war heroes and the stor...

The meeting point is the "Fiskergutten" statue (look it up on Maps). The statue is located next to a bridge, directly opposite the Art Nouveau Museum. Lukas will be waiting there about 10 minutes before the tour starts, holding a white sign with the name of the tour on it. Please do not film the guide.
