04:10 – 04:15 hrs: Pick up from your accommodation in Cusco and transfer by car to Ollantaytambo.
06:40 – 07:40 hrs: Train ride to km 104. Our guide will be waiting for you to start the Short Inca Trail.
08:00 – 14:15 hrs: Visit the archaeological site of Chachabamba (2250 m). Here we observe local agricultural terraces that supply Aguas Calientes. Then we begin the hike to Wiñay Wayna, one of the main highlights of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
14:15 – 15:45 hrs: Hike to Inti Punku (Sun Gate), where you’ll get your first incredible view of Machu Picchu Sanctuary.
15:45 – 16:25 hrs: Continue hiking to Machu Picchu, exploring the magic of this historic site.
16:45 – 17:20 hrs: Return to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town).
19:00 – 20:00 hrs: Dinner in Aguas Calientes and briefing with the guide for the next day’s Machu Picchu guided tour
