Your San Blas adventure begins at the Port of Cartí. Please arrive by 8:30 AM. For safety, note that only 4x4 vehicles are permitted on the jungle road to the port. Optional Roundtrip Transportation If you book the transportation add-on, we’ll pick you up directly from your Panama City hotel between 5:00–5:45 AM. Relax on the scenic 2.5–3 hour drive through the jungle highlands. You’ll reach the Port of Cartí by 9:00 AM, and by around 10:00 AM you’ll be on Isla Diablo enjoying the Caribbean paradise. While the check-in process in the port of San Blas may feel busy and a little unstructured, the local Guna community has a well-established system, and all guests are taken care of. During the boat transfer, the boat may make short stops at different islands to pick up or drop off other travelers.

Your adventure begins on Isla Diablo, one of the most popular islands in the San Blas archipelago. Located just a short swim from the famous Isla Perro shipwreck (please ask the locals about currents and ocean conditions and swim under your own risk), this island is the perfect place to start exploring. Relax on its white sand beaches, swim in turquoise waters, and soak up the lively island atmosphere before continuing your San Blas experience.
