Led by your local guide, this tour offers an engaging way to explore Perugia’s historical center away from the crowds, while introducing you to the fascinating medieval craft of candle making. You will step into one of the still active medieval candle-making workshops in town where you will meet a real master candle maker. He will show you how he continues using ancient techniques passed down by his family and how, by molding beeswax, his unique creations come to life. Through several hands-on and visual examples, you will learn more about wax and why his candles are nowadays chased by renowned movie productions from all around the world. The tour will end with a wine light lunch including a delicious charcuterie board with cheeses and Umbrian specialties.
