The courthouse is the oldest of the 4 town halls in Freiburg. The Reichstag was held here at the end of the 15th century.

The Old Town Hall has a long history. You'll see it from the outside.

Here you can see the New Town Hall with its interesting history. You will also see ornate paving mosaics of Freiburg’s 12 twin cities and some interesting things about the famous Bächle to the topic of black powder.

At the impressive 16th century House of Whale, you will learn about the builder and a special occupant of this magnificent building.

Kaiser-Joseph Straße is the main shopping street of Freiburg. On one side you can see St. Martin's Gate from the very early 13th century. It is one of the two remaining city gates of Freiburg.

Here you can see Freiburg Minster from the outside. The early 16th century. Completed over the centuries, 116m high Freiburg Cathedral of Our Lady impresses with its 45m high tower helmet in its unique open construction. In addition to Gothic, you can also see Romanesque elements up to Renaissance elements.

Enjoy the Münstermarkt with a farmers market from Monday to Saturday until about 1:30 pm. In addition to the filigree Freiburg Minster, you will see the Kornhaus, the Alte Wache and the Historical Department Store.

Used to be called the Rear Wolf Cave. Has been an example of successful old town renovation since the middle of the 20th century.

The Swabian Gate from the middle of the 13th century is one of the two remaining city gates of Freiburg, along with the Martinstor.

On the way from the Schwabentor to Augustinerplatz we pass the snail suburb, the former craftsman and business district. There were mills, tanners, fishermen, gem grinders and much more.
