Where Dante Alighieri once lived, there is now a museum dedicated to him. I will talk to you about Dante’s role as the father of the Italian language and his exile from Florence.

You will visit the courtyard of Palazzo Vecchio on the ground floor, with Renaissance frescoes painted for the Medici family, who lived inside the palace.

You will admire the majestic Renaissance statues that still decorate the square and the Loggia dei Lanzi, as well as the elegant façade of Palazzo Vecchio.

You will learn the history of the palace that today houses Italy’s most famous painting gallery, one of the most important in the world : the Uffizi Gallery.

In front of the Arno River, you will admire the Ponte Vecchio, the Vasari Corridor, the façade of the Uffizi, and Piazzale Michelangelo.
