Al Zubara Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, originally built by sheikh Absullah bin Jassim Al Thani in 1938 to serve as a Coast Guard station, although some direction of that it was built to serve as a police station. أقدم من الدوحة ولكنها أصغر حجمًا بكثير. كانت في السابق مركز صناعة اللؤلؤ في قطر ولكنها فقدت أهميتها بعد إدخال اللؤلؤ الصناعي. وهي الآن تفتخر بميناء خلاب حيث يمكنك العثور على قوارب الصيد التقليدية، وكورنيش يؤدي إلى مستعمرات أشجار القرم ومتحف يعرض صناعات الصيد واللؤلؤ وبناء القوارب الشراعية.
