The Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels is a Roman Catholic church located in Assisi, in the town of the same name. Built between 1569 and 1679 according to the project of Galeazzo Alessi and with interventions of Jacopo Barozzi da Vignola, the basilica is famous for its Porziuncola, the chapel where Francis of Assisi collected himself in prayer.
