The Curtea de Arges Monastery is, without a doubt, the city's central attraction. Built between 1512 and 1517 by Neagoe Basarab, the monastery church impresses with its unique style – a synthesis of Byzantine, Oriental, Georgian and Gothic influences. It has been restored several times over the centuries, but still retains that special magic that makes it unmistakable
