Ek Balam is an ancient Maya city in Yucatan that was abandoned in the 15th century. Now a UNESCO World Heritage-listed archaeological park, is the undiscovered jewel in the crown of Mayan ruins, which include several temples, two palaces, and a large Acropolis that you can climb up.
