Panteon General
Start the night at the historic Pantheon General of Oaxaca, also known as Pantheon San Miguel. Between ancient niches, cempasúchil flowers and candles, learn about the history of one of the city’s most iconic cemeteries and discover how Oaxacan families remember their loved ones during the Day of the Dead celebrations.

Continue to Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán to discover one of Oaxaca’s most renowned Day of the Dead traditions. During the Evening, families gather around the tombs decorated with cempasúchil flowers and candles, accompanying their deceased among memories, prayers, music and the aroma of the copal.

Municipal Pantheon Atzompa
End the night in Santa Maria Atzompa and contemplate the traditional “Alumbrada”, one of the most moving expressions of the Day of the Dead in Oaxaca. Thousands of lights, cempasúchil flowers and families gathered around the graves create an atmosphere of recollection and memory as the community symbolically welcomes the souls of their loved ones.
