From Union Square we will see from distance the Palace of Parliament, dictator's future palace, a colossal neoclassical landmark, standing as one of the most powerful reminders of Romania’s communist legacy — an immense, marble-clad structure whose scale and symmetry reflect the ambition and austerity of the era in which it was built.
