The Columbia Icefield is the largest ice field in North America's Rocky Mountains, straddling the Continental Divide along the border of Alberta and British Columbia, Canada. Centered within Jasper National Park and Banff National Park, this 325-square-kilometre natural wonder feeds six major glaciers and serves as a major destination along the scenic Icefields

The glacier is situated on the northeastern flank of Crowfoot Mountain.The spectacular Crowfoot Glacier can be viewed from a lookout point on the world-famous Icefields Parkway about 36 km (22 mi) north of Lake Louise.
