Qutub Minar in Delhi, India, is a historically significant structure under protection because of its value. The Qutub Complex is a World Heritage Site and one of the most popular attractions in northern Delhi.

Second Mughal Humayun died in 1556, and his widow Hamida Banu Begam, also known as Haji Begam, commenced the construction of his tomb in 1569, fourteen years after his death. It is the first distinct example of proper Mughal style, which was inspired by Persian architecture. It is well known that Humayun picked up the principles of Persian architecture during his exile, and he is likely to have planned the tomb, although there is no record of that effect

This old market has retained its charm and historic value over the years. It was built in the 17th century by the Mughal ruler Shah Jahan, opposite Lal Quila and close to Fatehpuri Mosque. There is a rather interesting story scribbled in the history of how the place got its name. There was a pool at the center of the place, that reflected the moon. Hence, it was named Chandni Chowk or Moonlight Square.
