You’ll be picked up at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport and transferred to your hotel in the historic center of Cusco. The morning is free to rest and acclimate. Around 2:00 p.m., the City Tour begins with a visit to Qoricancha, the former Temple of the Sun. The tour continues by private tourist transport to the archaeological sites surrounding Cusco: Sacsayhuamán, famous for its massive stone walls; Qenqo, a ceremonial center dedicated to Pachamama; Puca Pucara, an ancient military outpost; and Tambomachay, known as the Inca Baths for its ceremonial water channels. After the final visit, you’ll return to Cusco around 7:00 p.m., where the transport will drop you off near the historic center. You may choose to enjoy dinner or a cultural show to end your first day in the city.
