You’ll be picked up early (typically ~6 a.m.) from your hotel in Arusha. Depart Arusha and drive toward the Serengeti. En route you’ll likely pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stop at viewpoints (for example the crater rim view) or even quick cultural stops. For the budget tour, the drive is about 6‐7 hours. Arrive in Serengeti in the early/mid afternoon. You’ll check into your accommodation (camp or lodge, depending on level) and go out for an afternoon game drive in the park. This gives you your first wildlife experience. Overnight in Serengeti (most shared tours will be camping, or budget lodges). Dinner included.
