Welcome to Boiler Studio. Here we work as a team! Holidays and leisure time are for relaxing, socializing, getting to know the city's culture, and meeting new people. In this tile painting workshop, you can experience a little bit of all of this, because this experience is designed so that you don't need any prior experience, just to feel good. Enjoy yourself and take a piece of Portugal home with you, the best souvenir made by you and which you will remember as your tile. You’ll receive a white ceramic tile and can choose from an exclusive selection of traditional tile patterns carefully selected and documented by our team directly from the streets of Porto, which you can replicate, or create your own original design. Your instructor will guide you throughout the painting process, making it accessible for beginners and enjoyable for all ages. Throughout the workshop, enjoy Port wine, juice, water, coffee, and a selection of sweet and savory snacks, while relaxing, socializing, and painting. After the session, you take your hand-painted souvenir of your time in Portugal. Our Azulejo Tile Painting Workshop is the only one in Porto offering two options of tile painting techniques: -You can experience the original artisan glazing method, just as Portuguese craftsmen have done for centuries. This method tiles need to be fired in a ceramic kiln at 1,100°C (2,012°F), it takes up to 5 days to pick up or can be shipped. -Or choose the ready-to-go acrylic painting option, where your unique tile is sealed and ready to be taken home right after the workshop. Both allow you to create a unique piece of art to cherish. The session takes place in our working artist studio and gallery, surrounded by contemporary art and creative energy. Led by a professional artist, you’ll paint step by step, no experience needed, while also receiving insider tips of Porto’s best art galleries, museums, tile-covered architecture, and local restaurants. A perfect mix of authentic craftsmanship, creativity, and local insight, this workshop is truly one of a kind.
