1
Valley of the Kings
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in central Luxor or the harbor by an air-conditioned vehicle for a full guided trip lasting approximately 8 hours. First, you will be transported to the Necropolis of Thebes, specifically the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank of Luxor. This ancient necropolis is an essential destination for travelers in Luxor. You will have the opportunity to visit four royal tombs, including the Tomb of Ramses III, the Tomb of Ramases IX, and the Tomb of Merenptah.

Tomb of Ramses III
The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, with its stunning decorations featuring colorful painted sunken reliefs showcasing traditional ritual texts such as the Litany of Ra and the Book of Gates, as well as depictions of Ramses before the gods. Unusually, the tomb also contains secular scenes, particularly in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, displaying foreign tributes, detailed pottery from the Aegean, the royal armory, boats, and the famous depiction of blind harpists that earned the tomb its alternate name, the 'Tomb of the Harpers.'

Tomb of Ramases IX
The tomb of Ramases IX belonged to the third pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. Initially named Amonhirkhopshef, he was the fifth son of Ramesses III and was appointed crown prince by the twenty-second year of his father's reign following the deaths of his four elder brothers. The tomb is known for its vibrant colors and intricate details, with the ceiling above the sarcophagi adorned with a depiction of the goddess Nut spanning the space. Despite some deterioration of the paintings, the tomb remains one of the most lavishly decorated in the valley.

Tomb of Merenptah
In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demurge of Memphis, the god of craftsmen and architects. In his falcon form, this deity began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor. Tomb 8, located in the Valley of the Kings, served as the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is considered a model of royal tombs. Merneptah, the son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret, had his tomb discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. This tomb features a notable decrease in the number of lateral rooms and a significant increase in the height of the corridors and chambers. Merneptah deviated from the previous jogged axis design, instead constructing the entire tomb on a single axis. Additionally, the entrance was made considerably wider than in earlier tombs.
