Your marine biologist will also explain how this delicate ecosystem maintains a pure balance and what must be done to preserve and protect the Bio Bay “Laguna Grande." It is a very special place on Planet Earth! All gear, snacks, and kayak lessons are included. Minimum age is 6 years old. Children under 6 years of age are not permitted on any of our tours.

Discover Culebra Island on a full-day snorkeling and beach adventure with round-trip ferry and island transportation included. Snorkel with sea turtles in the Luis Peña Marine Reserve, then relax at world-famous Flamenco Beach. Start with the ferry from Ceiba to Culebra, then meet your local guides for transport around the island and an introduction to Culebra’s history, culture, and ecosystems. Snorkel at Tamarindo Beach in the protected Luis Peña Channel Marine Reserve on a guided shore snorkeling session (not from a boat). Expect coral reefs, tropical fish, and frequent sightings of green and hawksbill sea turtles. Snorkel gear is included, including flotation belts, and guides help you identify wildlife. After snorkeling, enjoy time at Flamenco Beach—walk the shoreline, swim, relax, and grab lunch on your own. You’ll receive a digital photo album after the tour, too. One of the requirements is that you are able to get in and out of the kayak on your own and be able to maneuver it. If you are an unexperienced kayaker we highly suggest you choose the earlier tour. Kayaks have a weight limit of 240 lbs. per person (NO exceptions). To assure weight restriction is met, guests will be weighed on-site. It is the guest responsibility to comply with health and weight requirement.

Check in time 7:30am. Depart from Villa Mariana at 8:30 AM in our Motor Boat and set off for Culebra Island by boat. You will reach the island after about 50 minutes. Culebra Island is home to a majestic coral reef that you have the opportunity to explore. If you are not an expert snorkeler, it is not a problem because you will have guides available to offer you one on one lessons before you get into the water. Once in the water, immerse yourself in the lively marine world under the water. After the snorkeling portion of the tour is complete, you will have a break for lunch, which is provided on board. **For this tour minors must be 5 years or older and expecting women or people with back or neck problem will not be boarded for safety measures. **In the event of unfavorable sea conditions, our tour will be rerouted to Vieques Island, provided conditions allow. This ensures a safe and equally delightful experience for all our guests. Max 55 passengers

Weight limit is 240 lbs. per person. Pregnant women are not allowed to participate in the kayaking tour. Bring a little excitement to your vacation with our night kayaking tour in the Bio Bay of Laguna Grande Reserve in Fajardo. The Bio Bay has microscopic organisms called dinoflagellates that produce a glowing effect when they are stirred by our paddles. What should I wear? Come prepared to get wet from your waist down. Lightweight, synthetic clothing or a swimsuit is the best. Do not walk bare foot on the beach for safety reasons. What to bring? Change of clothes, towel and mosquito repellent (just in case!). You can bring cameras only with water proof bag or water proof case. What not to bring or wear? Avoid wearing jeans or sweats. Don’t bring any valuables you don’t want to get wet, lose or damage. - Live-commentary and interpretations about the Ecosystem in English or Spanish. - Two person kayaks - To join this tour, you must be able to swim.

Night kayaking tour provides Information about our unique ecosystem, the flora, fauna, and sea life that inhabits the lagoon, and historical notes of interest. Here we may experience Bioluminescent Bay, incredible natural phenomenon that shows a shimmering glow of bioluminescence as you dip your paddles and glide through the sparkling water. An amazingly unique experience only found in four other places on earth!
